Benefits of Signing In to the Service Portal

Users are encouraged to sign in to the Service Portal before browsing. Signing in lets them save favorite services, avoids extra sign‑in steps when submitting requests, and ensures they can access all information available to their account.

Anyone with an active StarID can sign in to the portal.

Signing In to the Minnesota State Service Portal

  1. Click "Sign In" at the top right corner of the portal page.
  2. Select your StarID credentials ("StarID@minnstate.edu" or "StarID@go.minnstate.edu").
  3. Click "Next".
  4. If asked, enter your StarID password.
  5. Click "Sign in".

All campuses now require multi‑factor authentication (MFA). Users may be prompted to complete MFA during sign‑in and should follow the verification method they selected when they first set up MFA. Anyone who is unsure of their method or experiences issues should contact their local campus IT help desk for assistance.
