Body

Overview

Within a D2L Brightspace class, students may have the option to record an audio file or a video file from various places, such as Assignments and Discussions. Audio or video recordings can be a useful supplement to written text.

  • The length of audio recording is typically up to five (5) minutes per recording.
  • The length of video recording is typically up to thirty (30) minutes per recording.

If you use the ‘record audio’ or 'record video' feature within D2L Brightspace, it is highly recommend that you provide a text equivalent of the recording, so the information is accessible to the recipient(s). Machine-captions can be ordered for each recording.

Otherwise, a randomly generated title with alphanumeric characters is provided for the file – which is not helpful to you or to others!
    • Note that the description field is not accessible/visible after the recording has been added (saved) to the item.
