Overview

OneNote Class Notebook LTI allows for an instructor to link directly to a Microsoft 365 OneNote Class Notebook and have the student notebook sections be setup automatically upon entry. 

The OneNote Class Notebook LTI integration relies upon an External Learning Tool (LTI) link. 

Instructions for Use

Create the topic

  1. Navigate to the course Content tool.
  2. Within a content module, click Add Existing Activities > External Learning Tools.
  3. Select OneNote Class Notebook.

Connect to a Notebook

After adding the OneNote Class Notebook External Learning Tool above, you will need to pair the content topic with a specific notebook.

  1. Click on the OneNote Class Notebook content topic.
  2. If prompted, click Sign in to OneNote.
    Sign in to OneNote
  3. Follow the prompts on-screen to complete the configuration.

Using the Notebook

After pairing your D2L course to your OneNote Class Notebook, a student who clicks on the LTI link within D2L will have a section created for them automatically.
