Packback

Summary

How do I use the Packback Questions LTI integration within my D2L Brightspace course?

Body

Overview

The Packback LTI integration makes use of a school-wide LTI link shared to all courses.

Packback allows for an instructor to add an External Learning Tool (LTI) link to Packback. Upon clicking the link, a Packback community will be created by the instructor.  Afterward, students clicking on the link would be signed in to Packback to view the community.

Instructions for Use

Instructors have two options to insert a link to Packback:

  • a generic link without grade synchronization
  • a deeplink that can point to a specific item in Packback that includes grade synchronization

The following instructions highlight both methods.

Insert a Link (no Grade Synchronization)

  1. Navigate to the Brightspace Content tool.
  2. Choose to create a basic link or a deep link:
  3. Within a module, click Existing Activities > External Learning Tools
  4. Choose Packback.

Insert a Link (with Grade Synchronization)

  1. Navigate to the Brightspace Content tool.
  2. Click Existing Activities > Packback.
  3. Click on the newly-created topic.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the Brightspace page, and create a grade item (or add an existing item).
