Access Pearson

Summary

How do I use the Access Pearson LTI integration within my D2L Brightspace course?

Body

Overview

Access Pearson is a single integration for Pearson’s Revel and My Lab and Mastering products.  Introduced in Fall 2022, this replaces previous integration versions.

Access Pearson allows for an instructor to link directly to Pearson resources and have those activities return grade scores back to the Brightspace grade book.

Upgrade from the legacy (LTI 1.1) Pearson integration

An instructor migrating from the legacy Pearson integration to the latest LTI 1.3 integration, may see the following notification within their Pearson course:

Pearson warning message: "Links can't be copied due to incomplete OAuth2 credentials. Contact your LMS administrator to finish the setup."

This message is displayed because Pearson’s link migration tool is not available.  Instead, instructors will need to remove any links and gradebook columns created in the legacy integration.  Then re-add the links using the latest version of Pearson’s integration.  Steps for doing so, can be reviewed in Pearson’s article: Transition copied courses to Access Pearson.
