How do I use the Microsoft Team’s integration within D2L Brightspace?

Overview

The Microsoft Teams Meeting integration allows for an instructor to create and insert a Microsoft Teams meeting link within the HTML Editor.  This allows the hosting of a virtual meeting on Microsoft Teams, similar to other web conferencing platforms such as Zoom or Virtual Classroom.

Instructions for Use

Insert a Link

  1. Within the HTML Editor, click Insert Quicklink.
  2. Click MS Teams Meeting.The MS Teams Meeting option in the Insert Quicklink window
  3. Authenticate and click Create meeting link.
  4. Enter the meeting details and click Create.Fields to create a new Teams meeting
  5. Click Insert.
  6. The meeting link will be inserted into the HTML Editor.
  7. Remember to Save or Publish.

 

Grade Synchronization

Grades are not synchronized with a Microsoft Teams; there is no grading option within a Teams meeting.

Capabilities

The integration does not use LTI services.
