Accessing VDI (Secureapps)

Summary

Provides information and screenshots on how to access and login to the VDI environment.

Body

Using VDI

VDI licenses are limited; use only when necessary and as outlined below. Log out when finished so others can access VDI. Most services and apps do not require VDI.

Do not use VDI to access:

  • Microsoft Office Applications
  • Internet
  • Workday
  • Teams
  • Zoom
  • WebEx

Use VDI when needing to access:

  • Mapped Drives (H:, O:, S:, T:, U:, Z:, etc)
  • Secure Applications (CAP server, Employee Home apps, Developer toolsets, etc.)
Use either the Web Client, which needs no installation and works on any device (including personal devices), or the Full Client, which is pre-installed on system office devices.
