What EDUCAUSE Is
EDUCAUSE (educause.edu) is a nonprofit association focused on advancing higher education through information technology. It provides research, community groups, professional development, and resources for staff across colleges and universities.
Minnesota State is an EDUCAUSE member, which means all employees across Minnesota State can create an account and access member‑only resources.
Why EDUCAUSE Matters
With an EDUCAUSE account, employees gain access to:
- Research, data, and benchmarking on higher ed technology trends
- Publications, toolkits, and thought‑leadership content
- Professional development webinars, courses, and training opportunities
- Community Groups for networking and problem solving with peers nationwide
- Horizon Reports and EDUCAUSE Top 10 trends in higher education technology
- Access to EDUCAUSE events, including the annual conference
These resources support staff working in IT, academic technology, cybersecurity, teaching and learning, student success, and related areas.
How to Create an EDUCAUSE Account
Employees can create a free EDUCAUSE profile using their Minnesota State email address:
- Go to the EDUCAUSE website.
- Select Login in the top navigation.
- Choose Log in or create a profile.
- Select Create a profile.
- Enter your Minnesota State email address.
- Complete the New User Creation form.
- In the Organization field, select your Minnesota State institution.
(*System Office employees only, select "Minnesota State Colleges and Universities")
- Set your password and finish creating your profile.
Once your profile is created, you can immediately access member resources.
Getting Started
After creating an account, EDUCAUSE recommends:
- Updating your profile and communication preferences
- Exploring the Membership Orientation resources
- Joining Community Groups
- Reviewing signature research (Top 10, Horizon Reports)
- Attending webinars or events
