Assess student work in an anonymous assignment

If you have created an assignment with the Anonymous Marking option selected, student names display as ‘anonymous user’ on the assignment’s evaluation screen.

Notes regarding the Anonymous Marking feature

  • Any existing student submissions are changed from the student’s name to ‘Anonymous User’.This does not change the submission file name or text, the feedback file name or text, or comments made within the Evaluate page.
  • The ‘Email Users Without Submissions’ button is removed from the assignment’s page.
  • To publish feedback to students, use the Publish All Feedback button. This will publish all draft feedback to all students at the same time. After publishing feedback, the students’ names will no longer be anonymous.
