What Star Alert Is
Star Alert is the official emergency notification system for Minnesota State. It delivers critical alerts, such as safety warnings, campus emergencies, and urgent updates, via text message, phone call, and email.
Employees and students are automatically registered using the contact information provided at the time of hiring or registration.
Updating Contact Information
Star Alert uses the contact information stored in Minnesota State systems. To ensure alerts reach you, keep your information up to date:
- Students: Update contact information in eServices
- Employees: Update contact information through the Workday
Updates made in these systems automatically sync with Star Alert.
Managing Alert Preferences
Users can adjust how they receive emergency notifications (such as selecting preferred phone numbers or enabling text alerts) by logging in to the Star Alert system at: https://mnscuso.portal.finalsiteconnect.com/Entry
