Overview

Wiley allows for an instructor to insert links in the Brightspace Content tool pointing to Wiley assignments or resources. Students will use those External Learning Tool links to access Wiley resources without the need for signing in.  Grades will be sent back to Brightspace upon a student's completion of that activity.

Instructions for Use

Insert a Link

1. Within a D2L Brightspace course, navigate to the Content tool.
2. Within a module, you have three options:
   • If you are inserting a link to the Wiley ‘course home’ or ‘table of contents’, click Existing Activities > External Learning Tools > Wiley Course Resources.
   • If you are inserting a link to a specific assignment, click Existing Activities > Wiley Assignments.
     Note: If you do not have Wiley Assignments, contact your local D2L support to have it enabled.
   • If you are inserting a link to a specific Wiley resource, click Existing Activities > Wiley Resources.
3. Complete any steps required by Wiley, such as signing in or selecting the appropriate item.
4. After completing the steps above, click the newly created content topic to ensure it points to the correct resource or location.

Grade Synchronization

Upon student completion of an activity, grade scores will be automatically sent back from the vendor platform to the Brightspace grade book.
