Overview
The Remote Proctor Now (RPNow) integration relies upon two External Learning Tool (LTI) links created at the organization (school) level. The links may be shared as navbar links.
Remote Proctor Now (RPNow) allows for an instructor to click on the shared link to launch RPNow and set up a proctored exam. Students would click on the ‘RPNow for Students’ link to view available proctored exams.

Instructor set up
Note: Your institution's location of the RPNow link may differ, either using the 'Navbar' option (most common) or the 'External Learning Tool' option. This article demonstrates the 'Navbar' option.
- Within your D2L Brightspace course, navigate to the Quizzes tool.
- Edit the quiz you want to restrict.
- Review the Password field under the Availability Dates & Conditions section to ensure that the quiz has a password set.
- In the Evaluation & Feedback section, click RPNow.
- Within RPNow, click Register RPNow Exams.
- Follow the steps within RPNow to finalize the proctored exam settings.
Student Access
When a student clicks on the RPNow instructor link, they will receive a ‘Not Authorized’ error.
To access available exams, the student would click on the ‘RPNow for Students’ link. This will display a list of available exams within that course.
A student can also access the exams directly through the Remote Proctor Now website for the school: https://{school}.remoteproctor.com.
