Kaltura MediaSpace: Kaltura Capture Media Did Not Upload

When a Kaltura Capture media recording does not appear within the Mediaspace My Media, check to see it's current status within the Capture application.

How to Resolve the Issue

Find any failed or in progress uploads and re-upload.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open Kaltura Capture on your device.  This can be done one of two ways:
    • Search for the application on your computerThe Windows Start menu with a search for Capture
    • Open the Capture option from the Create menu in MediaSpaceThe Kaltura MediaSpace Create menu with the cursor over the option Capture
  2. Select Manage (under the Kaltura logo).The Kaltura Capture application with a red arrow pointing to a link for 'Manage'
  3. Search for any media that failed to upload or is 'in progress'

  4. Cancel the upload, and choose the option to Re-Upload

 

Manual Upload

Note: If you are unable to re-upload from the Capture application, you may need to manually upload a recording to your MediaSpace account.

  1. In Kaltura MediaSpace, choose Create > Upload.The Kaltura MediaSpace Create menu with the cursor over the option Upload
  2. Select the recording from your Kaltura Capture folder directory to find the MP4 file.
