Access your class Groups in my D2L Brightspace

Overview

You can access the Groups tool by clicking on Groups from a drop-down menu in the navbar. On the Groups page, you can access a summary of groups you are enrolled in, and may enroll in.

How do I self enroll in a group in my class?

Self-enrollment allows you to enroll in groups on your own.  Your instructor may allow you to choose your own group members or to be part of a topic that interests you. If a self-enrollment group is available, a View Available Groups button is available at the top of the Group page. You can self enroll in groups by clicking the Join Group link beside the name of a group.

Self enroll in a group

1. Navigate to the Groups tool.
2. On the Groups page, click View Available Groups.
   
3. Review the available groups in the list.
4. To join a group, click Join Group.
   Note: You cannot join a group that has “(Full)” listed under the Members column.
   
5. After joining a group, you’ll have the group on the My Groups list, which is listed in alphabetical order by the group name.
