Email Signature

System Office employees are asked to create email signatures in Outlook that comply with the Email Signature guidelines in the Minnesota State Brand Identity Manual. This helps reinforce a unified and professional brand across Minnesota State communications.

Click on this link and follow Microsoft's steps on how to setup an email signature in Outlook. Instructions are tailored to the version of Outlook you may be using (New, Classic or Web).

 Signatures must comply with the Email Signature guidelines in the Minnesota State Brand Identity Manual.

Default Email Font

With the upgrade to Windows 11 the default font in Outlook was switched back to Aptos. To update you default font back to Calibri follow the steps below based on the version of Outlook you are using:

Update font to Calibri in Outlook (Desktop)

  1. On the File tab, select Options
  2. Select Mail, then Stationery and Fonts
  3. Under New mail message, select Font and choose CalibriRegular, and the size you prefer, then select OK
  4. Under Reply or forwarding messages, select Font and choose CalibriRegular, and the size you prefer, then select OK
  5. Under Composing and reading plain text messages, select Font and choose CalibriRegular, and the size you prefer, then select OK
  6. Select OK to close Outlook Options window.

Update font to Calibri in Outlook (Browser)

  1. Select Settings (gear icon in the upper right)
  2. Select Mail, then Compose and Reply
  3. Under Message format, choose Calibri and the size you prefer, then close the window
