Import/Export/Copy Components

Copy or import in your learning materials in Import/Export/Copy Components.  You can use the Import/Export/Copy Components tool to copy from one of your courses or import from a course package so that you can easily reuse course materials and learning activities.  The Import/Export/Copy Components tool is available from the Course Admin page.

User data and exporting a course package

User data is not exported with the course package. For example, if you export the assignment folders, none of the assignment submission to those folders are exported in the course package.

To export a package of your course materials

To export a package of course materials and learning activities, you can use Export Components.

1. Navigate to Course Admin, then click the Import/Export/Copy Components link.
2. Select the Export from Brightspace button. 
   
3. Click Start.
4. Select the items you want to export and click Continue.
   
5. Important: On the next page, make sure to scroll down the page and select the "Include course files in the export package" checkbox before clicking export.
   
6. Click Export.
   
7. Click Done.
   
8. Click the minibar alert Export finished link.
   
9. Click the link to download the zip package to your device.
