Infobase Learning Cloud

Overview

Infobase Learning Cloud allows for an instructor to display Learning Cloud tutorials within the D2L Brightspace content area. (Infobase Learning Cloud was formerly known as Hoonuit or Atomic Learning.)

In 2025, the Infobase Learning Cloud integration was updated to use LTI 1.3.  The information below reflects the latest version.

Note: The Learning Cloud LTI integration does not allow students and faculty Single Sign On (SSO) access to browse Learning Cloud resources. The LTI integration brings in content to the D2L Brightspace content area, specifically selected by the instructor. To facilitate browsing of Learning Cloud content, a separate authentication method (external to D2L Brightspace) will be required.

Grade Synchronization

Infobase Learning Grades will be sent back from the vendor platform to Brightspace.

Infobase Learning Cloud uses an ‘all or nothing’ grading, where a student needs to complete everything in the playlist for a grade to populate.  For example:

  • If 10 videos are present and a student clicks on 9 of the videos, no score will be populated. Once the student clicks on all 10 videos, the full points will be populated.
  • If 10 videos and 1 assessment are present, all videos will need to be opened and the assessment taken before a score is populated. The score populated will be related to the score of the assessment. For example, if the student gets 80% on the assessment, an 8 out of 10 will be in the grade center.
  • If 10 videos and 2 assessments are present, all videos will need to be opened and both assessments need to be completed before a score is populated. The score populated will be the average score of the assessments. For example, if a student gets 50% on the first assessment and 70% on the second assessment, the average is 60%, so 6 out of 10 would show in the grade center.
