Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor

Overview

The Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor Dashboard can be accessed directly within the Brightspace quiz tool.  For the Dashboard tool to appear, the integration must be set up within your Brightspace site by your D2L Campus Site Admin. 

Once configured, the Respondus dashboard allows an instructor to require the use of Lockdown Browser or Monitor for specific quizzes.

Instructions for Use

Enable for quizzes

  1. Within the Brightspace Quizzes tool, click LockDown Browser on the quiz page navigation.

  2. Next to a quiz, click the drop-down menu, and then click Modify Settings.

  3. Enable LockDown Browser and/or Monitor for the quiz.
    • Under the LockDown Browser Settings section, select the Require Respondus LockDown Browser for this exam radio button.
    • Under the Monitor Webcam Settings section, select the Require Respondus Monitor for this exam radio buttons.

  4. Click Save and Close.
  5. Click Manage Quizzes.  You will see the quiz name has been updated to list the requirements: "[Your quiz title] - Requires Respondus LockDown Browser + Webcam".
