uCertify

Overview

uCertify allows for an instructor to launch the External Learning Tool link to initiate a deep linking workflow. This will create new External Learning Tool (LTI) links within the course.  When an uCertify activity is completed, grades will be synced to the D2L Brightspace gradebook.

The uCertify integration was updated during 2024 to a newer version (LTI 1.3).  The following article reflects those changes. 

Instructions for Use

Insert a Link

  1. Navigate to the Brightspace Content tool.
  2. Within a module, click Existing Activities > uCertify.
  3. Connect to the appropriate uCertify course.
    Note: This step will only be required during first use in the Brightspace course.
  4. Click the checkboxes for the resources you want to use for Deep Linking.
    Note: If you do not want to return a grade score to the D2L Brightspace gradebook, de-select the checkbox on the right-hand side.

  5. Click Create.
  6. The Deep Links will now appear as External Learning Tool content topics within your D2L Brightspace course.

Grade Synchronization

Following a student's completion of an uCertify activity, the vendor integration grade will be automatically sent to the D2L Brightspace grade book.
