VidGrid

Overview

VidGrid allows for an instructor to either add the existing VidGrid link as a Content topic or create a new one. Upon clicking the link, the instructor or student is automatically signed in to VidGrid. 

Instructions for Use

Insert a Link

The VidGrid portal will allow Single-Sign On (SSO) access to the VidGrid platform.

1. Navigate to the Brightspace Content tool.
2. Within a module, click Existing Activities > External Learning Tools.
3. Click VidGrid.
4. Click on the newly created content topic.

Embed a Video

The VidGrid Embed integration allows the insertion of a VidGrid video into the HTML Editor, using the Insert Stuff button.

1. Within the HTML Editor, click the Insert Stuff button.
   
2. Click VidGrid Embed.
   
3. Search for and click on the desired video.
4. Click Embed.
   
5. Click Insert.

Create a VidGrid Video Quiz

The VidGrid Quiz integration will allow for the creation of a video quiz that sends completion scores back to the D2L gradebook.

1. Navigate to the Content tool of your D2L Brightspace course.
2. Within a module, click Existing Activities > External Learning Tools.
3. Click Create New LTI Link.
4. Enter a Title and paste https://app.vidgrid.com/lti/quiz into the Url field.
5. Click Create and Insert.
   
6. Click on the newly-created content topic.
7. Search for and click on the desired video.
   
8. Once a video is selected, click the Play icon.
9. To insert a question into the video, click the Surveys & Quizzes icon.
   
10. Click Add Question and enter in the question details.
11. When the questions have been added, click Attach video to assignment.
    

Grade Synchronization

When a student answers the quiz questions, and the entire video has been viewed, the scores will be sent back from the vendor platform to the D2L Brightspace grade book.
