eLumen

Overview

eLumen allows for an instructor to add the eLumen link in the Content tool within their D2L Brightspace course. 

The eLumen integration allows the connection of D2L Brightspace to eLumen assessments, enabling single-sign on (SSO) and grade return. 

Instructions for Use

Insert a Link

1. Navigate to the Brightspace Content tool.
2. Within a module, click Existing Activities > eLumen.
3. Click on the newly created topic to launch into eLumen.

Connect an Assessment

Follow the instructions below to link the eLumen assessment with your D2L Brightspace course.

1. Click on the eLumen content topic created above.
2. After finding the correct assessment, click Link this Assessment.
3. Select the D2L Brightspace grade item to associate with the assessment.
   NOTE: If you do not see a grade item, you will need to create a grade item first.
   
4. Click Go to rubric.
   

Grade Synchronization

After an assessment has been scored in eLumen, you will have the option to send those scores back to your D2L Brightspace gradebook.

1. When assessing a student, scroll to the bottom of the page.
2. Click on Send Scores to LMS.
   
3. Click Use recommended score or enter a score.
4. Click Send.
