Overview
FlatWorld Homework allows for an instructor to add a FlatWorld Homework assignment into a D2L Brightspace course by inserting an External Learning Tool (LTI) link to FlatWorld Homework. When a student clicks the link, they will be authenticated via Single-Sign On (SSO) and be able to complete the assignment.
The FlatWorld Homework LTI integration makes use of a school-wide configuration.
Instructions for Use
Insert a Link
- Navigate to the Brightspace Content tool.
- Click Existing Activities and choose from one of two options:
- FlatWorld Assignments
- FlatWorld Books
(Note: For the following steps, we selected ‘Flatworld Assignments’.)
- If the course has not been paired with a textbook, you will be prompted to select a book. Search for your textbook and select it. Click Confirm.
- If there are no assignments, create an assignment.
- When an assignment has been created, click EMBED IN D2L.
- Click EMBED IN D2L again to confirm.
- The assignment link will now appear within your Brightspace course.
Grade Synchronization
When a student completes an assessment within Flatworld Homework, the grade earned will automatically be returned to the D2L Brightspace grade book.
