Overview
The Leganto LTI integration makes use of a school-wide LTI (External Learning Tool) link and tool provider. Both are shared to all courses within the school.
Leganto allows for an instructor and students to click the shared link to use Single-Sign On (SSO0 into the Leganto platform. Additionally, instructors can to choose to insert an LTI link direct to a Leganto reading list.
Instructions for Use
Single Sign On (SSO) Access
- Navigate to the Brightspace Content tool.
- Click Existing Activities > External Learning Tools.
- Click Leganto.
- Click on the newly created content topic.
Create or Associate a Reading List
When you first launch the Leganto External Learning Tool link, you will see a welcome page that allows you to create a reading list, or launch to the Leganto application to pair a reading list with the course.

Create a List
To create a list, click CREATE IT and follow the steps.
Link an Existing List
To link an existing list:
- Click Leave this page and explore the application.
- While viewing a reading list, click on the list options.
- Click Manage course association.

- your course, and click Associate & Close.

The next time you or your student opens Leganto, you will see the reading list immediately.
Link Directly to a Section or Citation
- Within Leganto, find the section or citation you want to link.
- Click on the options menu (three dots).
- Click Relink LTI Link to Here.

- Click OK to confirm.
When you launch the External Learning Tool link to Leganto the next time, it will redirect you to the specific section or citation.
