Simple Syllabus

Overview

The Simple Syllabus LTI integration makes use of a school-wide LTI (External Learning Tool) link.

Simply Syllabus allows instructors and students to click the shared link to use single-sign on into the Simple Syllabus platform.

Instructions for Use

Single Sign On (SSO) Access

Please note: your institution may decide to place the link to Simple Syllabus in the navbar.  The following instructions allow you to add a link directly within your D2L Brightspace course Content.

  1. Navigate to the Brightspace Content tool.
  2. Within a module, click Existing Activities > External Learning Tools.
  3. Click Simple Syllabus.
  4. Click on the newly created content topic.

Publish Syllabus

  1. Click on the Simple Syllabus link created above.
  2. After reviewing the syllabus,  scroll to the bottom and click Submit.

Note: If a student accesses Simple Syllabus before the syllabus has been published by the instructor, they will receive the following error message: “Sit tight, the requested syllabus is currently being worked on by your instructor and will be available shortly.”
