Tevera Academic

Overview

The Tevera integration relies upon an External Learning Tool (LTI) link to facilitate single sign on (SSO) into the Tevera platform.  The External Learning Tool link is configured at the institution level and shared to all courses within the school or department (depending on need).

Tevera allows for an instructor to click on the Tevera External Learning Tool (LTI) link to automatically sign you in to Tevera.

Instructions for Use

Insert a Link

Prior to first use, your institution may need to set up a course template and identification rules within Tevera.  Once that has occurred, follow the steps below to grant access to your students.

  1. Navigate to the Brightspace Content tool.
  2. Within a content module, click Existing Activities > External Learning Tools.
  3. Select the Tevera link.
Note: It may have a department or program name listed as well.  Example: “Tevera – Social Work”
  4. Click the newly added Tevera link.  You will be authenticated into the Tevera platform.

Troubleshooting

Below are some tips for getting the best experience from Tevera:

  • A Tevera account will be created upon clicking the LTI link.  That account will not be able to use authentication outside of D2L Brightspace for Tevera.
  • Each Tevera program must be a separate External Learning Tool link.
  • The External Learning Tool (LTI) link must open in a new window.
