Overview
The Experiential Learning Cloud integration relies upon an External Learning Tool (LTI) link to facilitate single sign on (SSO) into the ELC platform. The External Learning Tool link is configured at the institution level and shared to all courses within the school or department (depending on need).
ELC allows for an instructor to click on the ELCExternal Learning Tool (LTI) link to automatically sign you in to Tevera.
Instructions for Use
Insert a Link
Prior to first use, your institution may need to set up a course template and identification rules within Tevera. Once that has occurred, follow the steps below to grant access to your students.
- Navigate to the Brightspace Content tool.
- Within a content module, click Existing Activities > External Learning Tools.
- Select the ELC/Tevera link.
Note: It may have a department or program name listed as well. Example: “ELC/Tevera – Social Work”
- Click the newly added ELC link. You will be authenticated into the ELC platform.
Troubleshooting
Below are some tips for getting the best experience from ELC:
- A ELC account will be created upon clicking the LTI link. That account will not be able to use authentication outside of D2L Brightspace for ELC.
- Each ELC program must be a separate External Learning Tool link.
- The External Learning Tool (LTI) link must open in a new window.
