Akindi

Overview

Akindi allows for an instructor to launch an External Learning Tool (LTI) link to sign in to the Akindi website.  In Akindi, an instructor can sync your Brightspace course roster, build exams, and sync grades with your Brightspace course.

Instructions for Use

Insert a Link

Your school may have a link to Akindi within the Brightspace navbar.  If you do not see it within the navbar, you can add the link to your course following the instructions below.

  1. Navigate to the Brightspace Content tool.
  2. Click Existing Activities > External Learning Tools
  3. Click Akindi.
  4. Click on the dropdown arrow (context menu) next to the newly-created topic.
  5. Click Hide from Users. This will ensure that only teachers can see the link, as students will not access Akindi through this link.

  6. Click the content topic (External Learning Tool) that you just created.

Roster Synchronization

  1. Within Akindi, click Course Roster.
  2. Click Synchronize now.

Grade Synchronization

When an assessment has been completed within Akindi, you can send the grade scores back to the Brightspace grade book.

  1. Navigate to the assessments, and click View Results.
  2. Click Send Grades to Brightspace.

  3. You will have the option to create a new grade item in the grade book, or select an existing one.
    Note: You will not be able to select grade items that were created manually within Brightspace.
  4. Click Export.
