H5P

Overview

The H5P integration allows for an instructor to use an External Learning Tool (LTI) to insert links to their H5P materials.  The LTI link provides students one-click access to the H5P activity.

Instructions for Use

Embed an activity

  1. Navigate to the Brightspace HTML Editor.
  2. Click the Insert Stuff button.
  3. Click H5P.
  4. Search for the activity you’d like to add, or create a new activity.
  5. Click the checkbox of the activity, and click Insert.

  6. Click on the newly created content topic.

Add a Link

  1. Navigate to the Brightspace Content tool.
  2. Within a module, click Existing Activities > H5P.
  3. Search for the activity you’d like to add, or create a new activity.
  4. Click the checkbox of the activity, and click Insert.

  5. Click on the newly created content topic.

Grade Synchronization

Grade scores will be only be sent back from H5P to D2L Brightspace grade book automatically when using the ‘Existing Activities’ option above.  For more information about controlling the how the grades return to D2L Brightspace, please review Assessing LTI & SCORM in Content.

Use this form to request H5P be added to any courses with which you plan to integrate H5P. Brightspace administrators will need to configure your D2L Brightspace courses to use H5P. Navigate to each course homepage which you plan to use H5P activities and provide the URL/link for each course site in the space below. URLs/Links for each course will look similar to https:// {SchoolDomain}.learn.minnstate.edu/d2l/home/{OrgUnitID}.
