Accessibility+ Course Dashboard – Overview
Accessibility+, a tool within D2L Brightspace, supports inclusive and accessible course design. The Accessibility+ tool is available to all Minnesota State D2L Brightspace users at no extra cost to you.
Important: Expected during spring semester 2026, the Accessibility+ Course Dashboard will be available within D2L Brightspace in your courses.
The Accessibility+ Course Dashboard provides instructors with a centralized view of digital course content accessibility. The Courses and Assets tab displays key performance metrics, visual summaries, and detailed data to support effective tracking and continuous improvement of accessibility compliance.
Who Is This Guide For?
This document is intended for instructors. It helps these users understand how to interpret the data presented in the Courses and Assets tab of the Accessibility+ Dashboard. The information reflects the summary of all courses synced into the platform and supports analysis of accessibility performance and remediation progress.
How to Access the Course Level Accessibility+ Dashboard
After navigating to a course, select the Accessibility+ Course Dashboard (or similarly named link) from a course navigation menu.
On the Accessibility+ course dashboard, the Overall Course Score displays the average of all the content that can be scanned.

Under Content Overview, it lists:
- The title of the content item
- Whether the content item has been scanned (a percentage score or no score)
- The type of scanned item (note: this will be content)
- The date and time of the last scan was done of the content item

Above the list of items is a search field to search for key words, as well as a filter option to limit the search by Course Material type or Last Audited date.

Tip:
- In the event that a content item has not yet be scanned (no score listed), click on the item's title to open the item in a new browser window. As soon as it opens in the content, the content will be scanned automatically by Accessibility+. Once it has been scanned, navigate back into the course dashboard and refresh the dashboard. At that point, the content item is listed as scanned with a date and time for the last scan.
