Notification options

You can choose to receive automated alerts in various ways within an online course.  For instance, you may subscribe to receive upcoming notifications by email, alerts within Brightspace, and push notifications from the Brightspace Pulse mobile app.

Automated alerts are accessible in the minibar when logged into D2L Brightspace. These minibar alerts notify you with new messages, course updates, or subscription updates. If you have an unread alert, a circle appears on the alert icon.

Subscribe to course notifications

1. When logged into D2L Brightspace, open the Personal menu in the minibar.
2. Select Notifications.
   
3. Set up an email contact method.
4. Select the notifications you want to subscribe to.
5. Click Save and Close.
