Using Microsoft 365 - System Office

Summary

Overview of how System Office employees can access and use Microsoft 365, with links and attachments that provide guidance for common tasks, account settings, and MFA requirements.

Body

Microsoft 365 (M365) is available to system office employees on any computer or smart device with an internet connection. You can access the full suite of applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, through a web browser using your StarID credentials.

Accessing M365

  1. Open any web browser
  2. Go to the Microsoft 365 sign-in page (www.microsoft365.com)
  3. Enter your StarID credentials (username: yourstarid@minnstate.edu; password: your StarID password)
  4. Comply with MFA requirements.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) is required for all users accessing Microsoft 365.  Refer to the MFA Knowledge Base Article for enrollment and other information.  After enrolling, you can updated MFA settings through the Additional security verification page.
