Sign In Troubleshooting Steps

If you have encountered issues signing in to D2L Brightspace, Kaltura Mediaspace, or Zoom, try the following steps:

  1. Navigate to outlook.office.com.
  2. If you are logged in:
    • Open the personal menu in the upper right
    • Note the username under your name:Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)This is the account that will be used to log in to D2L Brightspace, Kaltura MediaSpace, or Zoom.  If you have a different account (employee or student) you'd like to use, please review the following article: Switching Between Your Employee and Student Accounts.
    • If you do not want to use this account, select 'Sign out'.
  3. If you are not logged in outlook.office.com, log in using your StarID username and password:
    • Students: StarID@go.minnstate.edu
    • Employees: StarID@minnstate.edu
  4. If you are not able to log in to outlook.office.com with the above format, please contact your campus IT help desk.  You do not have a current affiliation with your school.
  5. Then please navigate to D2L Brightspace, Kaltura MediaSpace, or Zoom and select 'Sign On with StarID'. 
    • If you receive a message stating your account does not exist, please contact your campus IT help desk.  Your account may need to be adjusted in D2L Brightspace, Kaltura MediaSpace, or Zoom. 
    • If you are able to log in, that's wonderful!

Errors

If you encounter an error at any time in the above steps, please send the following information to your support team:

  • Note the step you were on
  • Take a screen shot of the error
  • Include your username from Step 2
