Newly Formatted Email
Contract approvers will have access to two different email approval methods to accommodate multiple preferences.
In the past, contract approval links led to a summary page where contracts could be approved using an approval code, no login was required. A recent change required approvers to be signed into JAGGAER to access and approve contracts.
Starting soon, approval emails will include two options:
- "View Contract": Requires being signed into JAGGAER – View the full contract setup before approving.
- "Click here to approve the Contract": Access the Summary Page – Approve directly using the approval code, without logging in.
The following are best practices for using each option effectively.

"View Contract"
If you use this option, please ensure that you have updated your default browser to reflect your primary browser. If you are unsure what your default browser is set as, you can follow these instructions for Windows Computers.
Best practice would be to sign in before clicking the "View Contract" button.
If you are signed in on the browser, clicking on the "View Contract" button will lead you to the full JAGGAER contract page.
If you are not signed in, clicking the the 'view contract' button may cause a JAGGAER access error. To resolve this, sign into JAGGAER using your JAGGAER login credentials, then click the 'view contract' button.
"Click here to approve the Contract"
This option does not require being signed into JAGGAER, nor does it error out if your default browser is not updated.
As seen in the screenshot below, this button leads you to a summary page where approval can be confirmed once entering your approval code.

Your approval code is a short password created by you in your JAGGAER profile. This code remains active until you change it in your profile. If you forget this code, you can create a new approval code as the approval codes are not stored.
For first time set up or resetting the approval code, click on your profile icon at the top right and click "View my profile". Once in there, expand the "Update Security Settings" tab and click "Change email approval code".

Once this is set, you should have no problem using the temporary code to quickly approve contracts.
