Overview
The HTML Editor is available across numerous tools in your D2L Brightspace course. The HTML Editor enables you to create HTML formatted content. For example, the HTML Editor is available when you post to a discussion topic, create comments for assignments, and more.
The HTML Editor toolbar is available for most text entry fields to add rich-text content. Some text entry fields may be limited to plain text only, such as specific quiz question types including, but not limited to: fill-in-the-blank and arithmetic questions.

Copy and paste content into the HTML Editor
You can copy and paste unformatted content into the HTML Editor. If you have already composed your content as text in another application (such as a word processor), you can use the Remove Formatting option to paste formatted content as plain text, or Keep Formatting to keep the source formatting (to the best of the system’s abilities).

Accessibility Checker
The accessibility checker icon is available in the HTML Editor. After you add content to the HTML Editor, you can click the checker to ensure that the HTML page conforms to WCAG and Section 508 accessibility standards. The checker indicates if the content is free of accessibility issues, or offers suggestions to fix them. Note that the accessibility checker does not check multiple files at the same time.
