Quizzes
Bookmark questions and strike through answer options when taking a quiz
The August 2026 release introduces the question annotation tools in Quizzes. Students can bookmark questions to more easily revisit and apply strikethrough formatting to answer options.
-
Students can select the bookmark icon beside a question to flag it for review. Bookmarked questions appear with a visual indicator in the question navigation list, allowing students to find them more easily.
-
Students can also select the strikethrough icon beside a question's answer options they believe are incorrect. The strikethrough icon is available for true or false, multiple choice, and multi-select questions only.
-
The question annotation tools are for a student's personal use. These tools and the markup are not included after a student completes the quiz.
-
An instructor may choose to turn off the students' access to question annotation tools for one or more quizzes. Please contact the class instructor if these question annotation tools are not available to students in a quiz.

Widgets
Module is now removed from Work To Do widget when all topics are completed
With the August 2026 release, when a module has a due date and the student completes all topics in the module, the module is now automatically marked as complete and removed from the Work To Do widget. This reduces clutter in the widget.
Previously, completed modules that have due dates could continue to appear as overdue and could not be manually dismissed.
Note: This change applies only to modules completed after the August 2026 release (effective August 20, 2026). Existing modules that are already overdue continue to appear as overdue in the Work To Do widget.
